While humor may not come naturally to everyone, I truly believe that with a little instruction and a lot of practice, ANYONE can be "funny on paper." This 2 hour webinar will teach to you identify various types of humor in picture books, as well as implement them using tried and true comedy writing techniques. It will also include exercises to practice your humor skills, and a Q and A at the end. A document with all the information will also be provided, and the replay will be available if you can't make the live webinar.

I have a background as a comedy screenwriter and an MFA in screenwriting from UCLA, where I trained with professional sit-com writers. I also write the script (and the jokes) for the Chicago Thanksgiving Parade. I have two traditionally published books (a humorous picture book and a joke book), and two more humorous picture books on the way. The techniques in this webinar are ones I use both in my own writing, as well as to punch up the humor in others' manuscripts.
